IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

Lead the development of short, mid & Long-term strategies for PTCL Transport network, ensuring alignment with business goals, technology evolution, and customer needs.

Focused on PTCL Transport networks, the role ensures network remains scalable, resilient, and cost-effective to support high-performance, future-ready services. The role translates business requirements into effective future proof strategies by analyzing current infrastructure, identifying gaps, and proposing upgrades such as fiber expansion, DWDM enhancements, or IP core optimization& new product solutions/Technologies.

It also evaluates emerging technologies like 400G, and SDN orchestration for business value and feasibility.

With minimal supervision, this 'Subject Matter Expert' role demands a mix of technical depth and strategic insight. Responsibilities include network architecture solution, design technical analyses / assessments, TCO analysis, investment planning, and guiding technology decisions that optimize assets and reduce operational costs

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Technology Evolution and Roadmap Development: Maintain strong market awareness of current and emerging transport technologies. Develop strategic roadmaps for the evolution of PTCL Group's transport network aligned with business plans, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, differentiated services.
• Drive Modernization and Innovation Initiatives: Identify modernization needs and prioritize initiatives based on effectiveness and business impact. Propose and lead strategic projects involving network expansion, performance optimization, and the adoption of innovative solutions to meet evolving service and operational goals.
• Evaluate and Validate New Technologies: Identify promising transport technologies that align with business requirements and lead their validation through feasibility studies and proof-of-concept trials to assess technical and commercial viability.
• Lead Vendor Strategy and Procurement Support: Support transport-related procurement activities including RFPs, vendor evaluations, and negotiations. Drive vendors to align hardware and software roadmaps with PTCL Group's strategic direction and future requirements.
• Support Strategic Planning, Budgeting, and Governance: Contribute to annual budgeting, long-term business plans, and the development of internal standards, specifications, and technical guidelines. Promote awareness of transport network strategy and innovation at senior leadership levels.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally Across the Organization: Engage closely with internal technology teams (Planning, Operations, PMO, QA, etc.) and cross-departmental stakeholders (Corporate Strategy, Procurement, Finance, Marketing) to ensure alignment of transport strategies with organizational objectives.

Qualification & Experience:

• Batchelor`s degree Electrical/Electronics/Telecom Engineering

Desirable Knowledge Areas:

• Performance Optimization
• Transport network Architecture &Solutions including
• Fiber Networks ,DWDM - Technology, PTN, IP RAN , SDH evolution trends in transport
• Network synchronization
• SDN and transport network automation
• Access layer transport XDSL, GPON,XG(S)-PON, FTTx etc. - - xHaul (Front, Mid, Back) technologies for 5Getc
• IP/ IP MPLS Networks
