We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Ruby on Rails Developer with 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience. You will work on developing and maintaining web applications, writing clean code, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. Key Responsibilities:

  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications and feature sets.
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Rails 6/7+.
  • Utilize the full power of Rails frameworks such as ActiveRecord, ActiveModel, ActionController, ActionView, ActiveJob, and ActionMailer.
  • Design and implement high-performance backend logic and database queries.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test suites using tools such as: RSpec, Minitest, FactoryBot, Faker, FFaker
  • VCR, Capybara, and other testing libraries
  • Ensure strong test coverage and encourage Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services by interpreting technical documentation and adapting them to fit application requirements.
  • Use AWS services effectively (e.g., S3, EC2, RDS, EBS, Load Balancer) for deployment, hosting, and scalability.
  • Stay updated with the latest Ruby and Rails ecosystem changes and adopt best practices accordingly.
  • Contribute to technical design discussions, architecture decisions, and project planning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, product, and DevOps.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior developers; help unblock issues and facilitate their learning

Requirements:

  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.
  • Strong understanding of Ruby, Rails framework, and MVC architecture.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
  • Expertise with Next.JS
  • Basic knowledge of Git version control.
  • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong team player with a proactive attitude and attention to detail.
  • Strong client communication skills are required
