Summary
We are seeking a driven and proactive Associate Business Developer to join our team at Phaedra Solutions. This role is ideal for individuals with up to 1 year of professional experience in business development. As an Associate Business Developer, you will play a vital role in driving client acquisition, nurturing relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting revenue growth strategies. You will also assist in proposal preparation, sales pipeline management, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Research and identify potential clients using online research, industry databases, social media, and networking.
- Generate qualified leads through marketplaces (Upwork, Fiver etc.) or outreach campaigns (emails, LinkedIn, cold calls, and events etc.).
- Maintain and expand the database of prospects.
Client Outreach & Communication
- Initiate and manage professional communication with prospects.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to establish trust and credibility.
- Draft client proposals, follow-up communications, and sales decks.
Sales Pipeline & CRM Management
- Track, update, and manage client interactions and opportunities in CRM.
- Monitor and report sales activities, pipelines, and forecasts to management.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all client communications and business opportunities.
Meetings & Presentations
- Schedule, coordinate, and participate in client meetings and presentations.
- Prepare meeting agendas, presentation materials, and follow-up documentation.
- Support senior team members in client negotiations.
Business Research & Market Analysis
- Conduct competitive analysis and market research to identify emerging trends.
- Provide insights into potential new markets, partnerships, and business opportunities.
- Analyze industry data to support sales strategy formulation.
Proposal & Documentation Support
- Assist in drafting proposals, RFQs, and RFP responses.
- Coordinate with technical and marketing teams to prepare tailored business pitches.
- Maintain standardized proposal and sales documentation templates.
AI Tools & Process Automation
- Use AI tools to automate outreach, personalize communication, and streamline lead nurturing.
- Leverage productivity tools for reporting, data analysis, and client engagement.
Collaboration & Cross-functional Support
- Work closely with the marketing team to align campaigns with sales goals.
- Collaborate with product/technical teams to ensure accurate client solutions.
- Provide administrative support for sales and business operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in sales, digital marketing, or business development are a plus.
Skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- CRM knowledge (GHL & ClickUp) preferred.
- Familiarity with AI tools, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and outreach automation platforms.
- Good understanding of sales funnel, business development lifecycle, and client engagement.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and research abilities for market intelligence.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
Experience
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Client Relationship Management.
- Internship or academic project experience in sales/marketing will also be considered.
