Job Summary:

The HR Officer will be responsible for managing key HR functions, ensuring smooth recruitment processes, compliance with labor laws, accurate payroll management, effective operational support, and maintaining proper documentation. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in alignment with the mission and values of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, candidate screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws, employment regulations, and organizational HR policies.
  • Prepare and process payroll, ensuring accuracy and timely disbursement of salaries.
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation in both physical and digital formats.
  • Support day-to-day HR operations, including leave management, attendance tracking, and benefits administration.
  • Coordinate staff orientation, training, and capacity-building activities.
  • Assist in drafting HR-related letters, contracts, and official correspondence.
  • Provide guidance to management and staff on HR policies and procedures.
  • Handle employee grievances and facilitate conflict resolution when required.
  • Participate in HR audits and ensure readiness of HR records for donor or regulatory reviews.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • At least 2–3 years of HR experience, preferably in the NPO/NGO sector.
  • Knowledge of basic labor laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in payroll management and HR software/tools.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
