Description: This role is responsible for overseeing the company's accounts and finances primarily for the Pakistan market with some involvement in managing US LLC accounts in line with international accounting standards. Key duties include handling payments, processing payroll, maintaining accurate bookkeeping, posting ledger entries and managing the company's end-to-end financial operations

Timings: Morning or noon

Tasks:

  • Oversee complete accounts management for Pakistan operations, including bookkeeping, ledger entries and reconciliations
  • Perform general bookkeeping, ledger entries and weekly bank reconciliations
  • Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Manage employee payroll, including tracking attendance, absences, commissions, bonuses and handling adjustments such as loan repayments
  • Ensure accurate tax filings, including income tax deductions, withholding tax calculations and adherence to tax rules for Pakistan and the US
  • Manage expenses from quotations to approvals, ensuring transparency in petty cash handling and reimbursement processes
  • Handle vendor and utility payments and coordinate with management for payment approvals
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory bodies like FBR, EOBI etc
  • Act as the single point of contact for employee accounts and manage ESBP or other benefit schemes
  • Provide complete reporting of company KPIs and employee performance on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Any additional tasks as assigned by the management

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Google Sheets, particularly Excel and Word, with excellent computer skills
  • Strong communication skills in English both written and verbal
  • Exceptional time management abilities with a proven capability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
  • Expertise in managing accounts for Pakistan with a good understanding of applicable regulations and practices
