Job Summary

The Salesforce Agentforce Technical Lead is a technical leader within the Intelligent Automation Center of Excellence (CoE), responsible for designing and delivering complex, cross-platform AI automation solutions within Salesforce Service Cloud and establishing core development best practices across the team. This role blends deep Salesforce, Automation, and AI expertise, that encompasses designing scalable architecture and hands on execution. The Salesforce Agentforce Technical Lead partners closely with the Product Owner and CoE Delivery Manager to assess feasibility, design and lead development AI initiatives, and deliver solutions to complex projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design and develop secure, scalable, and maintainable Agentforce automation solutions across Salesforce. Including but not limited to Case Classification, Next Best Action, Article Recommendations, and AI Agent deployment
  • Strategize with Delivery Lead to design and document delivery frameworks, technical design frameworks, and architectural best practices, including integration patterns, component reusability, exception handling, and development strategies.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to evaluate feasibility and complexity of backlog items and proposed automation opportunities.
  • Drive resolution of complex technical issues, acting as a technical Salesforce escalation point and thought partner for developers.
  • Design and guide the implementation of supporting infrastructure components required for automation solutions, such as cloud functions, APIs, file storage, and identity management (primarily in AWS or equivalent platforms).
  • Mentor Developers, conduct design and code reviews, provide architectural guidance throughout the delivery lifecycle, and provide comprehensive documentation to allow others to build from the foundation you create.
  • Contribute to hands-on prototyping, proof-of-concepts, reusable component development, or complex development.
  • Participate in tool/platform evaluations and provide technical insight into long-term roadmap decisions.
  • Champion documentation and knowledge sharing, including internal workshops, solution templates, and design reference materials.

Qualifications

Competencies/Skills

  • Advanced expertise in Salesforce AI Architecture and delivery including deploying several (5+) wide reaching Einstein for Service and/or Agentforce solutions
  • Deployment expertise around delivering AI Solutions with well thought out testing and security considerations
  • Strong ability to define best practices, move through roadblocks, and make decisions that help deliver successful solutions
  • Integration expertise for implementing Agentforce solutions that work with Apex or Flows
  • Infrastructure understanding across cloud services (AWS preferred), including serverless architecture, RESTful APIs, and storage/event services.
  • Proven ability to diagnose multi-system issues and guide scalable, maintainable resolution paths.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business audiences.
  • Comfortable operating in Agile environments and contributing to sprint-based delivery teams.
  • Proven technical mentorship capabilities
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tooling

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in platform governance and reusability strategy
  • Domain experience in B2B Order-to-Cash processes (e.g., invoicing, collections, customer setup).
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to CoE or governance initiatives (e.g., reusable component libraries, dev standards).
  • Experience with other Automation technologies including but not limited to RPA (UiPath), IDP (Hyperscience), or API/EDI (Mapforce) technologies.
  • Strong foundation in modern coding languages, such as Python, JavaScript, or C#.

Years of Experience

  • 4+ years of Einstein for Service or Agentforce experience
  • 7+ years of experience in Salesforce admin or Developer roles

Education
(High School Diploma, Associate, Bachelors, Masters)

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related field (OR equivalent combination of education and experience)
