Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Local Finance Manager to lead our finance function. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in financial management, taxation, and receivables, with strong experience in ERP systems (especially Odoo). This role combines leadership in finance, tax, receivable management, compliance, and reporting, while supporting strategic decision-making and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management & Reporting

Prepare and present accurate financial statements in compliance with local and international regulations (IFRS).

Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decisions.

Ensure compliance with regulatory, statutory, and audit requirements.

Taxation & Compliance

Oversee tax planning, compliance, and reporting in line with local regulations.

Ensure timely filing of sales tax, withholding tax, and corporate tax returns.

Liaise with tax authorities and consultants on audits, notices, and reforms.

Monitor changes in tax laws and assess their impact on the company's operations.

Accounts Receivable & Cash Flow

Manage invoicing, billing, collections, and dispute resolution with clients.

Track AR aging reports, maintain dashboards, and improve recovery timelines.

Collaborate with sales, project, and engineering teams for accurate invoicing and client follow-ups.

Optimize working capital through effective AR and AP management.

Internal Controls & Audit

Implement and strengthen internal financial controls.

Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal policies.

Ensure transparency and accuracy of financial records.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of efficiency and accountability.

Oversee payroll, settlements, advances, and operational expenses.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, auditors, consultants, and banks to support business objectives.

ERP & Digital Transformation

Lead ERP implementation and process automation initiatives.

Must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Odoo ERP (Finance, AR/AP, Procurement, Inventory, and Reporting modules).

Ensure data migration, system integration, and ERP-based process improvements.

MS Office Expertise

Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling, dashboards, data analysis).

Strong knowledge of Word and PowerPoint for preparing reports and presentations.

Ability to automate reports and improve workflows using MS Office tools.

Requirements

Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CMA preferred/partly qualified acceptable).

Minimum 5 to 8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.

Proven track record in taxation, receivable management, and financial reporting.

Strong knowledge of Odoo ERP (minimum 3 years);

Excellent leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
