Data Engineer

Job Location:
Kickstart MM Alam Road, Gulberg, Lahore (Full time, On-site)

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and systems for data collection, processing, and storage.
  • Implement and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure smooth and efficient data flow.
  • Collaborate with Data Analysts and Data Scientists to develop solutions supporting analytics, dashboards, and reports.
  • Ensure the integrity, quality, and security of all data stored and processed within the system.
  • Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to ensure seamless integration of data systems with other software platforms.
  • Optimize database performance through query tuning, data modeling, and efficient storage solutions.
  • Support and manage data migration to cloud platforms while maintaining data versioning and accessibility.
  • Automate repetitive processes and improve existing data workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, storage, and system performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical field.
  • Strong data management skills, including experience in data cleansing, data mapping, and handling large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Understanding of environmental data, calculations, and sustainability metrics.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and database management (SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, etc.).
  • Familiarity with programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working across technical and non-technical teams.
