Position Title: PR Officer – Government Relations & Protocols (Admin Affairs)
Department: Administration / Corporate Affairs
Location: Model Town, Lahore
Reports to: Head of Administration
Position Summary:
The PR Officer (Government Relations & Protocols) will be responsible for managing official relationships with government authorities, regulatory bodies, and external stakeholders. The role will ensure smooth execution of administrative protocols, compliance with statutory requirements, and facilitation of official visits, events, and corporate representation. The incumbent will act as the liaison between the organization, government institutions, and external entities while supporting internal administrative affairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Government Relations & Compliance:
- Establish and maintain effective relations with relevant government departments, regulatory bodies, and local authorities.
- Ensure timely processing and renewal of statutory licenses, permits, and approvals.
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and government policies that may affect the organization.
- Represent the organization at government offices, chambers, and external forums as required.
Protocol & Representation:
- Manage official protocols during visits of government officials, dignitaries, and corporate guests.
- Arrange and coordinate meetings, events, and delegations with external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with organizational protocol standards in hospitality, transport, and event management.
- Facilitate VIP travel, lodging, and ceremonial arrangements.
Admin & Support Functions:
- Assist in drafting official correspondence, letters, and communication with government authorities.
- Maintain updated records of government correspondences, approvals, and permits.
- Provide support to Admin team in organizing corporate functions, seminars, and conferences.
- Act as the point of contact for handling official documentation and representation tasks assigned by senior management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in government relations, corporate affairs, or administration (preferably in a large corporate or public sector organization).
- Strong understanding of government protocols, regulations, and compliance processes.
- Experience in managing events, high-level visits, and official delegations.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (English & Urdu; regional language is an advantage).
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities with government and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in drafting official correspondence and reports.
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity.
- Problem-solving ability with a proactive and diplomatic approach.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based with frequent travel to government departments and external meetings.
- May require extended working hours during events, official visits, or urgent government matters.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Rs200, Rs250,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
