Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Fund Manager located in the Karachi Division. The Assistant Fund Manager will be responsible for the following tasks.

Portfolio Monitoring:

  • Extract and update portfolio data
  • Track liquidity and maturity for timely allocation
  • Ensure compliance with investment limits
  • Analyze peer funds for trends, holdings, and strategy shifts

Performance Analysis & Reporting:

  • Assist with return attribution and peer benchmarking
  • Contribute to monthly Investment Matters reports and other reporting

Research Support:

  • Develop macroeconomic, sectoral, and company-specific insights
  • Analyze fixed-income securities (pricing, yield, scenarios)
  • Maintain forecasts, market expectations, and earnings updates
  • Track analyst views, corporate news, and market developments
  • Stay updated on global/local market dynamics

Ad Hoc Projects:

  • Support additional tasks and special projects as assigned

Requirements:

  • CFA Level I.II or III required.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in investment analysis, portfolio monitoring, or asset management
  • Strong understanding of fixed-income instruments, capital markets, and macroeconomic indicators
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, Bloomberg, and portfolio management systems
  • Experience in preparing investment reports, performance attribution, and peer benchmarking
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities for internal and external reporting
