Hardware Project Manager

Timings: 10am-6pm

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly driven Product Manager to lead the design, development, and lifecycle management of AIO's restaurant technology devices (POS terminals, kiosks, kitchen displays, and related hardware). The Product Manager will be responsible for defining product requirements, guiding engineering and design teams, validating concepts through prototyping and testing, and ensuring successful market launch.

This role combines technical expertise in product design and development with strategic product management responsibilities, ensuring that devices meet customer needs, quality standards, and business objectives.

What will your responsibilities be?

Product Ownership & Roadmap

• Define product requirements and specifications based on market research, customer insights, and competitor analysis.
• Manage the product roadmap, ensuring timely delivery of new features and device updates.
• Align product strategy with business objectives and restaurant industry needs.

Product Development & Engineering Coordination

• Lead product development from concept to launch for plastic, sheet metal, and electronic assemblies.
• Oversee prototyping, testing, and validation to ensure functionality, reliability, and compliance.
• Apply DFX, DFMEA, Lean Six Sigma, and TRIZ methodologies to drive innovation, reduce costs, and enhance quality.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design, manufacturability, and performance issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Marketing and Industrial Design teams to finalize customer-facing designs.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and After-Sales teams to ensure smooth product launches and post-launch improvements.
• Gather customer and field feedback, translate it into product improvements, and manage continuous iteration.

Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure devices meet relevant safety, durability, and hygiene standards for restaurant environments.
• Coordinate validation, reliability testing, and certification requirements as applicable.
• Support sustainability by optimizing materials and reducing non-biodegradable usage.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Use data-driven decision-making to optimize product performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Drive innovative solutions for enhanced usability, durability, and customer satisfaction.
• Promote best practices in design excellence, cost reduction, and quality improvement.

What are we looking for and what does it require to be the right fit for this role?

• Education: Bachelor's degree in electrical/ mechanical / automotive / industrial engineering (master's preferred).
• Experience: 8–12 years of product development and design experience with exposure to consumer devices, appliances, or hardware.
• Experience with Electronic Product design
• Strong expertise in injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, tooling, and assembly processes.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM tools and hands-on product design.
• Proven record applying DFMEA, DFX, Lean Six Sigma, TRIZ, and structured problem-solving in product development.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
