Job Title: AR Specialist – Medical Billing ( onsite)

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist to join our medical billing team. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in insurance and patient AR follow-up, a good understanding of claim submission protocols, and excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and insurance representatives.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Manage and follow up on insurance and patient AR to ensure timely payments and resolution of outstanding balances.
  • Handle patient calls professionally to resolve billing inquiries and collect payments.
  • Review, correct, and submit primary and secondary insurance claims in compliance with payer requirements.
  • Identify and escalate any denial trends or claim rejections to improve the billing process.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and payment activities.
  • Collaborate with the billing team to ensure smooth revenue cycle operations.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in medical billing and AR follow-up (insurance and patient).
  • Knowledge of primary and secondary claim submission protocols.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in patient calling is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with billing software and EHR systems is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-1.5 years of experience in a U.S. healthcare AR environment.
  • Understanding of denials, adjustments, and payment posting.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setup.
