ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible to:
- assist in all Ultrasound/Radiology procedures including all interventional procedures performed by Faculty, Residents, Radiographer & others assigned
- ability to read & understand radiology request for ultrasound /Radiology procedures to be performed
- use equipment as per manufacturer's recommendation and ensure compliances with safety policies
- escort and assist patients in ultrasound/Radiology following safety regulations
- ensure previous record is available before starting the procedure / Open Patient Profile or previous report on computer [In patient/OPD patient]
- review and edit transcribed reports or dictated material for accuracy in spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and appropriate medical terminology.
- must take responsibility for ultrasound prints or X-ray films and report as assigned by faculty, residents, radiographer and supervisor
- provide oral instructions/information to patients and attendants
- maintain cleanliness in Ultrasound/Radiology procedure rooms as per hospital standards and infection control policies
- any other task assigned by supervisor.
You should have:
- Intermediate, Sciences or Bachelor's degree, preferably in Science
- one year related work experience preferred
- good typing skills and be proficient at the use of current computer software
- basic knowledge of medical terminology
- ability to exhibit polite and courteous behavior at all times
- ability to communicate in simple Urdu & English
- ability to give oral instructions/information to patients and attendants
- ability to understand and use the metric system in related aspects of patient care
- ability to demonstrate positive and receptive attitude to those in authority.
