About the Role:
Within your role as a Procurement Administrator, tasked with improving procurement efficiencies and developing the function as the organisation continues its efforts to globalise the function. This role is to allow the function to continue to develop and become a best-in-class team, by taking a holistic view on a wide variety of critical procurement projects, outside "traditional" workstreams. You may look at standardising global asset procurement, developing and improving governance and sourcing processes to name a few examples. You will play a crucial role in ensuring this global function has all its voices heard and lead the creation, implementation, and management of a wide range of purchasing in our objective to Standardise supply chain for all One World Rental locations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify supply needs.
- Buy assets and materials as per company requirements.
- Recommend suitable products, services, and suppliers.
- Process purchase orders and maintain accurate records.
- Negotiate contracts and liaise with vendors.
- Be in regular contact with Sales and Operational teams about procurement to enable fulfilment.
- Support teams in pricing and costing activities with procurement insight.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials and manage relationships with supplier and internal operational and project teams to meet demands.
- Cultivating strong vendor relationships while striving for the best terms and prices.
- Assessing supplier performance based on delivery, compliance, and cost.
- Aiding in analysis and reporting to detect inefficiencies and potential issues.
- Contributing to inventory management and overseeing paperwork completion and filing.
- Build and maintain governance in purchasing.
Requirement:
- Previously worked as a Procurement Professional in a similar role.
- Experience in a procurement or supply chain role.
- Background in international sourcing.
- Knowledge of contract terms and negotiations.
- Skilled in IT and MS Office.
- Excellent numerical skills.
What you'll need to succeed
This role will support a global function. As such, expert communication and stakeholder engagement skills are critical to ensure all voices are heard and requirements translated across borders and cultures. Experience working in an agile and fast-moving business will be highly beneficial to allow you to manage the fast-paced nature of this role. Experience working within a global business/procurement function will be critical to allow you to understand the challenges this role will encounter and how to effectively manage them.
