Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer
specializing in
Laravel
to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the architecture, design, and development of robust backend systems that power our applications. This role requires deep technical expertise in
Laravel
, strong leadership skills, and the ability to mentor and guide a team of engineers. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, deliver high-quality software solutions, and drive continuous improvements in both our codebase and engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the backend development efforts using
    Laravel
    , ensuring high-quality code and efficient workflows.
  • Architect, design, and implement scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend solutions.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers, providing guidance and support to enhance their technical skills.
  • Collaborate with front-end engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and functionality of features.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and deployment.
  • Manage and optimize databases, APIs, and other backend systems for performance and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to system architecture decisions and overall product strategy.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience
    in software development with a strong focus on
    Laravel
    for backend services.
  • In-depth knowledge of PHP and experience with
    Laravel
    framework.
  • Proven experience in building RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
  • Strong understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM (Eloquent).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) and deployment pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Git and modern version control practices.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, React/Vue) is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and team collaboration skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
