About the Role

We are looking for a skilled
Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Fastify
to join our development team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable APIs and backend systems, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain
    RESTful and GraphQL APIs
    using
    Fastify
    .
  • Build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.
  • Integrate databases (SQL/NoSQL) and external APIs.
  • Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Implement best practices for
    authentication, authorization, and data security
    .
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams.
  • Contribute to code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in
    JavaScript/TypeScript
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    Fastify
    (or frameworks like Express/Koa with willingness to transition).
  • Experience with
    PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB
    .
  • Knowledge of
    RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture
    .
  • Familiarity with
    CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud services (AWS/GCP/Azure)
    .
  • Solid understanding of
    asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
    .
  • Experience with
    unit testing and integration testing
    (Jest, Mocha, etc.).
  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with
    Redis, RabbitMQ, or Kafka
    .
  • Knowledge of
    serverless functions (AWS Lambda, etc.)
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Fastify plugins ecosystem
    .
  • Exposure to
    Agile/Scrum methodology
