Job Description – HR Officer
Position Title: HR Officer
Department: Human Resources
Location: Skans Institute Rawalpindi
Job Purpose
To support the Human Resources function at Skans Institute by assisting in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development, payroll support, and policy implementation. The role ensures smooth HR operations and alignment of HR practices with the institute's objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruitment & Staffing
- Assist in sourcing, shortlisting, and hiring qualified candidates for academic and non-academic positions.
- Conduct reference checks and coordinate onboarding & orientation of new staff.
- Employee Relations
- Maintain employee records and personal files.
- Handle employee queries related to policies, leaves, benefits, etc.
- Support in managing employee engagement activities.
- Performance Management
- Assist in implementing performance appraisal systems.
- Maintain performance records and ensure timely feedback collection.
- Compensation & Benefits
- Prepare monthly attendance and leave reports.
- Assist payroll department by providing necessary HR data.
- Support in benefits administration (EOBI, provident fund, etc.).
- Policy Implementation & Compliance
- Ensure HR policies are communicated and adhered to.
- Maintain compliance with labor laws and institutional guidelines.
- Training & Development
- Identify training needs in consultation with department heads.
- Assist in organizing workshops and professional development sessions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in HR (preferably in an educational institute).
- Knowledge of HR functions, labor laws, and best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
