Position Overview

The
Pricing & Operations Executive (Sea Freight Export)
will be responsible for handling end-to-end sea freight export operations while ensuring competitive pricing and smooth execution of shipments. This role requires strong coordination skills with shipping lines, overseas agents, and customers, along with the ability to prepare timely and accurate freight quotations.

Key Responsibilities

Pricing Duties

  • Coordinate with shipping lines and overseas agents to obtain competitive freight rates.
  • Prepare and share quotations with the sales/business development team and clients.
  • Maintain and update rate sheets for FCL & LCL services.
  • Monitor market freight rate trends and advise management/sales accordingly.
  • Negotiate with carriers for space allocation and special rates when required.

Operations Duties

  • Manage documentation for sea freight export shipments (BL, invoices, packing lists, certificates, etc.).
  • Coordinate booking confirmations, container pick-ups, and cargo loading with shipping lines and transporters.
  • Liaise with shippers, consignees, and overseas partners to ensure smooth cargo movement.
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely departures and arrivals.
  • Handle pre-shipment and post-shipment operations, including follow-up with customs brokers.
  • Resolve operational issues and provide excellent customer service support.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience
    in sea freight export operations & pricing (freight forwarding industry).
  • Strong knowledge of
    FCL & LCL export procedures, documentation, and carrier coordination
    .
  • Good negotiation skills with carriers and agents.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and experience with freight management systems (preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
