Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and driven
Head of QA
based out of Karachi, Lahore, or Islamabad for a leading bank in Pakistan. The respective individual would be defining, scaling, and leading the quality assurance strategy across the region and multiple squads. The ideal candidate would be able to drive automation, performance testing, and quality governance across complex engineering environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set the
    strategic direction for QA
    across departments and regions.
  • Lead senior QA teams
    embedded within engineering and product squads.
  • Develop and mentor QA team members to strengthen quality ownership within squads.
  • Design and evolve scalable test automation and performance testing frameworks
    to ensure reliability and efficiency.
  • Serve as the
    quality gatekeeper
    for both functional and non-functional test outcomes.
  • Partner with
    Product Owners and Platform teams
    to ensure high release and platform quality.
  • Integrate
    automated testing standards, tooling, and protocols
    into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Define and track QA operational metrics
    such as test coverage, velocity, and reliability.
  • Hire, mentor, and grow QA talent
    across teams and markets.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 12+ years
    of experience in QA, software engineering, or test automation.
  • Proven experience
    building and scaling QA functions
    in multi-geography or enterprise-level organizations.
  • Strong
    leadership, operational, and cross-functional collaboration skills
    .
  • Demonstrated expertise in
    defining and evolving QA practices, tooling, and frameworks
    .
