The Quality Assurance & Control Manager will oversee all quality, food safety, and regulatory compliance activities for beverage and juice production. This role ensures that raw materials, in-process operations, and finished products meet the highest standards of safety, hygiene, and quality. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of food safety regulations, HACCP, and beverage manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the
    Quality Management System (QMS)
    in accordance with
    ISO 22000, HACCP, GMP, and beverage industry standards
    .
  • Lead
    food safety programs
    , including CCP monitoring, traceability, allergen control, and sanitation verification.
  • Oversee QC testing for
    raw materials (fruits, concentrates, sugar), water quality, packaging materials, and finished juice products
    .
  • Ensure compliance with
    local and international food safety regulations
    , including labeling, shelf-life validation, and microbiological standards.
  • Conduct
    internal audits
    , prepare for external audits (regulatory, certification bodies, and customers), and ensure timely closure of non-conformities.
  • Manage laboratory operations and supervise microbiological, chemical, and physical testing activities.
  • Lead
    root-cause analysis
    and
    corrective/preventive actions (CAPA)
    for quality issues, deviations, and customer complaints.
  • Collaborate with production to optimize processes and reduce waste, contamination risks, and quality defects.
  • Train staff on food safety, hygiene, GMP, and quality procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for batch records, COAs, inspection reports, and quality logs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Minimum
    7–10 years of QA/QC experience in the beverage, juice, or food manufacturing industry
    , with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong working knowledge of
    HACCP, ISO 22000/FSMS, GMP, and regulatory food safety standards
    .
  • Experience with beverage processing equipment such as
    pasteurizers, UHT systems, filling lines, and CIP/SIP systems
    .
  • Understanding of
    microbiological hazards
    , shelf-life testing, and beverage formulation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certifications such as
    HACCP, Lead Auditor ISO 22000, Six Sigma Green Belt
    are an advantage.
