Are you ready to advance your career in a dynamic and challenging environment? We are seeking a dedicated NOC Engineer specializing in Transmission to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the seamless operation and integrity of our DWDM/OTN transmission network systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 24/7/365 Shift Work:
    Available to work in rotating shifts to maintain round-the-clock network monitoring and support.
  • Proactive Monitoring:
    Vigilantly monitor alarms within the DWDM/OTN transmission network system to ensure network integrity.
  • Incident Management:
    Record incidents, correlate them with network events, and apply appropriate workarounds while maintaining detailed ticket records.
  • Escalation & Coordination:
    Efficiently escalate and coordinate with local and international partners for quick issue resolution.
  • Advanced Issue Handling:
    Escalate complex issues to the concerned management team for timely intervention.
  • Technical Communication:
    Collaborate with other support levels, third-party partners, vendors, and technicians to resolve technical issues.
  • Crisis Management:
    Swiftly address network crises such as fiber cuts and emergencies, demonstrating the ability to perform under pressure.
  • System Enhancement:
    Identify and recommend enhancements to automate and improve system processes, saving time and enhancing service quality.
  • Network Optimization:
    Manage, configure, and optimize network transmission capacity.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare and present comprehensive reports on network performance and incidents.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Academic Qualifications:
    Bachelor of Engineering (Telecom / Electronics)
  • Transmission Network Expertise:
    In-depth understanding of DWDM & OTN technologies.
  • Technical Skills:
    Basic knowledge of Python scripting.
  • Product Proficiency:
    Familiarity with Huawei OSN 9800, Nokia PSS-1830, and Fiber Home DCI.
  • Network Knowledge:
    Basic understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 networking principles.
