About the Role

We are hiring an Assistant Legal Counsel to support the legal, contractual, and compliance operations of digital.enterprises and ADAPT across Qatar, the QFC, and partner jurisdictions.

This role is ideal for a highly intelligent, analytically rigorous lawyer trained at a top international law firm, with a first-class degree and strong grounding in English law. The successful candidate will demonstrate an eagerness to expand into Qatari and QFC law, working directly with the companys leadership and external counsel to ensure the business operates to the highest ethical and regulatory standards.

You will be based in Karachi as part of the global ADAPT delivery organisation, reporting directly to the Qatar-based leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, technology agreements, NDAs, and partnership frameworks.
  • Support corporate governance, board documentation, and entity management.
  • Advise on intellectual property, data protection, and compliance matters.
  • Maintain and update contract templates and legal process documentation.
  • Liaise with external counsel in Qatar and the UK on cross-border legal issues.
  • Research and interpret QFC, Qatari, and international legal frameworks relevant to digital transformation and trade.
  • Support risk assessment, dispute resolution, and regulatory filings.
  • Build institutional legal knowledge and support training for business teams.
  • Develop and implement Platform Governance and Legal Terms for a standard transactional basis
Required Qualifications
  • LLB (Honours) or equivalent law degree with First Class or high GPA from a top-ranked university.
  • years of post-qualification experience, trained with a top international law firm or equivalent in-house environment.
  • Strong grounding in English law with readiness to learn Qatari and QFC law.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional written and spoken English.
  • Proven ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • High ethical standards, discretion, and integrity.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to Qatar and regional jurisdictions.
