Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

Al Haadi Mobilya is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Import Specialist to manage and coordinate all import-related activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling the complete import process, including vendor coordination, documentation, customs clearance, and delivery tracking to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of imported furniture materials and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage all import operations, including sourcing, order placement, and shipment tracking.
  • Ensure timely collection and verification of import documentation (invoices, packing lists, BL/AWB, certificate of origin, etc.).
  • Liaise with international suppliers, freight forwarders, customs clearing agents, and shipping lines.
  • Monitor and track shipments to ensure timely arrival and clearance.
  • Prepare and manage import documentation in compliance with local customs regulations.
  • Ensure accurate calculation and timely payment of duties, taxes, and other charges.
  • Coordinate with the accounts department for import-related payments and reconciliations.
  • Maintain updated records of all import transactions, shipments, and correspondence.
  • Handle issues related to delays, demurrage, or discrepancies in documentation.
  • Continuously identify cost-saving opportunities in the import process.
  • Stay updated on international trade regulations, HS codes, and import policies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of relevant experience in import/export operations, preferably in the furniture or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of import documentation, customs procedures, and shipping terms (Incoterms).
  • Familiarity with import software and tracking systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple shipments and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in dealing with suppliers from China, Turkey, and other major exporting countries.
  • Knowledge of local customs procedures and SROs.
  • Experience with ERP systems or import tracking tools

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs50, Rs70,000.00 per month
