Patient Scheduler

Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments using [EHR/EMR system].
- Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and contact details.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to appointment inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Confirm upcoming appointments via phone, SMS, or email.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate appointment needs and provider availability.
- Ensure waiting area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety and privacy standards.
- Collect co-pays, issue receipts, and perform basic billing tasks as needed.
- Handle patient complaints or direct them to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and clinic policies.
Qualifications:
- Graduated or currently enrolled in a degree programmed.
- 1 to 2 Years of experience in a front desk, medical office, or customer service role.
- Proficiency in scheduling systems and EMR software (e.g., e-Clinical Works, Nextiva), Adobe(basic level).
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Friendly, patient-focused demeanor with high attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
Preferred Skills:
- Excellent Communication Skills (Listening & Speaking).
- Prior healthcare or clinic experience is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic insurance procedures.
