R&D Manager – Ice Cream

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of new ice cream formulations, flavours, and textures in line with consumer insights and market trends.
  • Drive ideation sessions to create innovative products that strengthen the brand's market position.
  • Manage prototype development, pilot trials, and scale-up for commercial production.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Production, and Quality teams to ensure successful product launches.
  • Optimize existing product recipes for cost efficiency, sensory quality, and shelf-life stability.
  • Implement process improvements in mixing, freezing, aeration, and hardening stages.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing or formulation issues related to texture, meltdown, or ingredient stability.
  • Research and evaluate new raw materials, stabilizers, emulsifiers, flavours, and inclusions.
  • Liaise with suppliers and external research partners for ingredient innovation and technical trials.
  • Keep abreast of emerging technologies in ice cream manufacturing, freezing systems, and dairy alternatives.
  • Ensure all formulations meet local food regulations, labelling, and nutritional requirements.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance to maintain product safety and consistency standards.
  • Manage R&D projects from concept to commercialization within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Prepare technical reports, product specifications, and presentation materials for internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

Education: Master's/Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Dairy Technology, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 7–10 years in product development, with at least 3–5 years in ice cream or frozen dessert formulation.

Pay: Rs300, Rs350,000.00 per month
