We are a software development company seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sr. Business Development Executive to join our team. As a BDE, you will be responsible for generating leads, managing Upwork and other freelancing platforms, cold calling, client communication, sales, and customer success.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis to identify potential leads and business opportunities.
- Strategically manage and optimize Upwork profiles to attract high-quality clients.
- Identify relevant job postings on Upwork and write tailored proposals to generate leads.
- Develop and execute strategies for outbound lead generation and business outreach.
- Make cold calls/emails to prospective clients to introduce our services and secure meetings.
- Manage client communication and build strong relationships to understand their needs.
- Negotiate and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handover and client satisfaction.
- Provide exceptional post-sales support to ensure repeat business and client retention.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience & Skills:
- 3+ years
in IT/software sales or business development. - 2+ years
of proven success on Upwork or similar freelancing platforms (proposal writing, bidding, profile optimization). - Lead Generation:
2 years (Required) - Cold Emailing & Cold Calling:
2 years (Required) - Experience in managing the full sales cycle — from lead gen to closing.
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Experience or interest in the software and AI industry is a strong plus.
- A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
