Job description:

We are a software development company seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sr. Business Development Executive to join our team. As a BDE, you will be responsible for generating leads, managing Upwork and other freelancing platforms, cold calling, client communication, sales, and customer success.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis to identify potential leads and business opportunities.
  • Strategically manage and optimize Upwork profiles to attract high-quality clients.
  • Identify relevant job postings on Upwork and write tailored proposals to generate leads.
  • Develop and execute strategies for outbound lead generation and business outreach.
  • Make cold calls/emails to prospective clients to introduce our services and secure meetings.
  • Manage client communication and build strong relationships to understand their needs.
  • Negotiate and close deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handover and client satisfaction.
  • Provide exceptional post-sales support to ensure repeat business and client retention.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience & Skills:

  • 3+ years
     in IT/software sales or business development.
  • 2+ years
    of proven success on Upwork or similar freelancing platforms (proposal writing, bidding, profile optimization).
  • Lead Generation:
     2 years (Required)
  • Cold Emailing & Cold Calling:
     2 years (Required)
  • Experience in managing the full sales cycle — from lead gen to closing.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Zoho, Pipedrive).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience or interest in the software and AI industry is a strong plus.
  • A self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
