Role Description: The Assistant Manager - Supply Chain for the Grocery Section supports the Supply Chain Manager in optimizing the supply chain operations to ensure timely and efficient procurement, storage, and distribution of grocery products. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing logistics processes. The Assistant Manager also steps in to manage the department in the Supply Chain Manager's absence.

Key Responsibilities:

· Assist in sourcing and selecting suppliers and vendors.

· Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers.

· Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and vendors.

· Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet demand.

· Conduct regular inventory audits and manage stock discrepancies.

· Utilize inventory management software to track and forecast inventory needs.

· Oversee the receiving and distribution of grocery products.

· Coordinate transportation and logistics to ensure timely delivery.

· Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.

· Maintain accurate records of inventory, procurement, and logistics activities.

· Assist in developing and implementing supply chain policies and procedures.

· Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, supplier performance, and logistics efficiency.

· Implement and maintain supply chain management software.

· Train staff on the use of technology and systems

Qualification:

· Bachelor's or Master's (BBA, MBA) preferable in Supply Chain Management

Experience

· Minimum 2 year preferable in Catering industry

· Prior experience in a grocery store setting, with a focus on customer service, staff supervision, and inventory management
