About
the Role
We're excited to announce an opportunity for a
Freight Assistant
to be a part of our expanding logistics team As we grow both steadily and swiftly, we're embarking on numerous new projects. For these ventures, we require an
enthusiastic
detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates high accountability, and consistently meets deadlines.
Please note that this role will be situated at our office in Lahore (Upper Mall), working on-site from Monday-Thursday, with Friday being an optional WFH day. The normal working hours will be
9
am – 6pm PKT, but may require some occasional flexibility due to working with stakeholders based in China, UK and US.
About You
As a Freight Assistant at Mous, you'll work within our Logistics team and collaborate with our S&OP team,
New Product Development (NPD) team, Engineering team, Quality team, and Production team. You will report directly to
Fadhliana
(Yana), our
Senior Logistics Coordinator
based in our office in Dongguan, China. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment, playing a crucial role in driving our projects to successful completion with precision and efficiency.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative assistance to the logistics and freight department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to facilitate timely and accurate communication across the supply chain.
- Clerical Duties: Maintain organized records through file management, accurate data entry, and handling of correspondence and mailing tasks.
- Invoice Processing: Manage and process accounts payable invoices related to freight and logistics services, ensuring compliance with internal controls and timelines.
- Operational Support: Assist the logistics and operations teams with task management, documentation, and workflow coordination to meet shipping and delivery deadlines.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to team support.
How will success be measured?
- Communication Skills: Effectiveness in communicating with suppliers and team members to resolve issues
- Problem-Solving Ability: The Capability to handle unexpected challenges quickly and efficiently
- Workload Management: Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Inventory Management: Accuracy in tracking stock levels and maintaining records
- Attention to Detail: Consistently produces error-free work and maintains precision in documentation
- Accountability: Demonstrates ownership of responsibilities and reliability in daily operations
Skills requirements:
- Fluency in English is essential (both written and spoken). Language skills in Mandarin are a huge bonus
- High school diploma is required; an associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
- At least 6 months of logistics or related experience, with a proven record of meeting performance targets.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP system familiarity is a plus
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- High level of accountability and attention to detail
