Purpose
This position conducts field inspections and reports all cases of metered theft and/or other related discrepancies. These responsibilities are carried out
WITH
the objective to ensure loss reduction, discourage use of hook connections (legal/illegal), promote use of energy through metered connections, correct consumer mapping, ensure consumer satisfaction and compliance with HSEQ standards
WITHIN
the limits of organizational policies and SOPs, departmental objectives, environmental policies, HSEQ standards, business code of conduct and directions/guidelines from supervisor.

Minimum Education
Education (Mandatory)
DAE – Electrical/B-Tech

Education (Preferred)
Trainings & Certifications (Mandatory)

• Knowledge of electrical systems and metering equipment
• Knowledge of electrical appliances rated capacity

Area Of Responsibilities
Business

• Undertake TBT in every shift.
• Ensure that filed teams have been dispatched with necessary PPEs, SPEs and other necessary tools.
• Undertake proper communication with OPERATION CONTROL ROOM (OCR)with their go ahead before carrying out any activity on ground for HT related works.
• Manage rectification of all types of complaints and other outages (feeder trip, Load Zero, other HT/LT Jobs etc.) through filed teams as per set standards and SOPs and maintain consistent follow up.
• Undertake all Complaints/ Operations are performed as per aging, quantum of affected consumers, but on priority consider area dynamics or on advice from line managers.
• Ensure timely arrangement and clearance of shutdowns as per SOP and filling of PTW forms by field teams for all panned and corrective maintenance tasks. Clearance to allow work will be mailed by OCR in case of any operation from grid is involved.
• Step wise operations due shutdowns or back feeding must be written in log book and made understood to new shift.
• Manage follow up on arranged shutdowns and arrange posting of field teams prior to clearance of major shutdowns if teams are free.
• Get clearance on PTW for normalizing of shutdowns from working department with supporting mail from control rooms of requesting department.
• Ensure energization of newly installed Assets (RMU/Switches/SS/PMTs or feeders) in Distribution Network with the coordination SMART CONTROL ROOM and updated with pen/pencil on SLD at AOC.
• Maintain the log book, shutdown book, message book.
• Ensure balancing of distribution transformers on routine basis.
• Manage to get reverse all temporary operations on Network (HT/LT) to its normal status in coordination with OCR after clearance from relevant departments.
• Ensure handing/taking over of shifts with signature after clear understanding of operations done.
