Position Overview:

The Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation and analysis of management accounts, ensuring the delivery of timely and accurate financial reports, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. This role requires strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis, as well as leadership skills to manage reporting processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:


• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.


• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and deviations from budgets.


• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to enhance financial performance.


• Collaborate with department heads to develop budgets and forecasts.


• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and at board meetings.


• Oversee cash flow management to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and strategic initiatives.


• Supervise and mentor a team of accountants.


• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and improve efficiency.


• Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, UK GAAP) and regulatory requirements.


• Identify and mitigate financial risks through robust reporting mechanisms.


• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders during audits and reviews.

Requirements:


• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent)


• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with at least 5 years overall in accounting and finance


• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, taxation, and other relevant regulations


• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)


• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail


• Strong English language skills and interpersonal abilities to present to UK based clients


• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
