General Manager MIS

We are seeking an experienced and strategic
General Manager – MIS
to lead our airline's IT operations and digital infrastructure. The GM MIS will be responsible for overseeing user support services, network, data center and server infrastructure, enterprise voice systems, airline-specific platforms such as Departure Control Systems (DCS), and ensuring seamless availability of mission-critical applications.

This role is pivotal in driving system reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with industry standards while supporting the airline's commercial and operational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the MIS department overseeing enterprise IT infrastructure, network, server management, user support, and business applications.

  • Ensure 24/7 availability and reliability of mission-critical systems including but not limited to:

  • Departure Control System (DCS)

  • Airline reservation and ticketing platforms

  • Flight Operations Systems

  • Manage corporate voice communication systems including IP telephony and call center solutions.

  • Oversee server infrastructure, data backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity measures.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, SLAs, and compliance protocols aligned with aviation regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with commercial, operations, and other guest service teams to align IT solutions with business objectives.
  • Participate in vendor management, contract negotiations, and evaluation of new technology solutions.
  • Mentor and supervise IT staff, ensuring a responsive and capable support team.
  • Develop IT budgets, monitor costs, and drive cost-effective technology investments.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum
    10+ years
    of experience in IT leadership, preferably in the
    aviation
    sector.

  • Strong experience in managing:

  • Enterprise IT infrastructure and networks

  • Airline systems such as DCS/PSS

  • End-user support and IT service management (ITSM)

  • In-depth knowledge of IT security, business continuity, and regulatory compliance.

  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and deliver under pressure.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Certifications such as
    ITIL, PMP, Cisco, Microsoft, or AWS
    are a plus.
  • Familiarity with aviation-specific compliance (e.g., IATA standards, CAA/FAA/ICAO guidelines).
