
Business Director

We are currently looking for a Business Director – Digital to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for bringing a highly valued perspective to the client based on a deep understanding of their business.
Client Leaders will be tasked with enabling clients to understand Mindshare's insights and perspectives using jargon-free language. Client Leaders set the vision and working plan for the whole team and develop and cultivate relationships at the senior level within the Client organization on a major account or several key accounts. They have ultimate accountability for ensuring Mindshare's and Client's strategy delivers on the set business objectives and KPIs and for delivering client satisfaction.

In this role, your goals will be:
In three months:
- Build a rapport with the immediate team
- Establish relationships with media vendors
- Ensure all processes employed by the team are compliant
- Run and execute monthly meetings
- Develop changes that will impact buying performance for clients
- Exhibit clear and concise communication skills – written and verbal
In 12 months:
- Start to develop skills for the next level
- Understand and develop negotiations on behalf of the client
- Demonstrate selling skills with the ability to sell media plans/additional internal initiatives to clients
What your day job looks like at Mindshare:
- Get close enough to the client to help identify opportunities to maximize/improve their digital media investments
- Entrench senior client relationships that position Mindshare as a principal digital business partner
- Deliver an overall strategic approach on the accounts designed to meet Client's digital business objectives and strategies
- Support GM in promoting Exchanges philosophy to clients, identifying and managing opportunities, and achieving buy-in from decision-makers
- Develop the scope of work with knowledge of financial implications and budget requirements to provide required levels of digital service
- Negotiate terms of business to optimize account profitability and achieve sign-off from the client for fee negotiation
- Coordinate appropriate resources from across the organization to meet client objectives within deadlines
- Manage the P&L including delivery of agreed budget on the digital accounts
- Support heads in managing, advising, and educating the client on Mindshare's fee structure when projects are identified outside the agreed scope of work
- Develop an annual staffing plan based on job requirements, past performance, and future contingencies
- Sell digital solutions and the expertise of the team
- Set KPIs and manage quality of output in front of the client
- Cultivate opportunities for additional business, securing profitable revenue for the client and Mindshare
- Ensure that the GM/MD is fully informed of any issues or developments impacting agency performance and profitability
- Work with Digital Business Planning to analyze the market situation of the client's brands & products
- Support alignment of all inputs from Groups/Specialists and make decisions with the client
- Lead all key stakeholder relationships including media, creative/advertising agencies, client, and other marketing partners
- Collaborate with Specialist Group Partners to identify the best and most appropriate talent for assignments
What you'll bring:
- Skilled storyteller with experience communicating the benefits of marketing opportunities to brands
- Strong organizational and numeracy skills
- Strong negotiation skills
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
- Able to set and meet multiple demands within challenging deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills – ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- 8 – 10 years' experience in Digital Planning/Buying & leading teams in relevant fields
- Experience driving revenue growth with emerging opportunities and established partnerships
- Master's degree in marketing/media sciences or equivalent from a reputable business school
