We are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Senior Technology Solutions Architect who will be instrumental in driving engineering excellence within our organization. This role combines the strategic vision of a Solutions Architect with the leadership and operational capabilities of an Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating innovative technology solutions to address some of the country's most pressing development challenges.

As a senior Management team member, this individual will not only lead on technical matters but also play a key role in decision-making and organizational strategy. The candidate should be adept at diving deep into code when needed, mentoring young team members, ensuring efficiency and productivity, and advocating for engineering best practices while fostering team growth.

Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction as a core Management team member.
• Contribute to organizational decision-making by aligning technology strategy with business objectives.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business challenges and design technology-driven solutions.

Architectural Design:

• Develop and oversee the implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable software solutions.
• Create and maintain architectural frameworks, ensuring they address current and future needs.
• Drive technical innovation by evaluating and incorporating new tools and technologies.

Hands-On Engineering:

• Roll up your sleeves to code, troubleshoot, and provide technical guidance on key projects.
• Use of AI tools to enhance engineering team velocity and productivity.
• Conduct code reviews, ensuring adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
• Lead by example in adopting agile, DevOps methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide feedback on product requirement documents (PRDs) and design documents, particularly around the developer experience such as SLA documents and coding guidelines and processes.

Team Mentorship and Development:

• Develop and execute comprehensive team development roadmaps, including skills training and career progression plans.
• Mentor and guide young engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
• Advocate for engineering excellence, championing processes that ensure team productivity and efficiency.

Operational and Proposal Support:

• Lead the technical development of proposals for new engineering opportunities.
• Balance operational management with hands-on responsibilities to meet organizational goals.
• Drive process improvements and ensure project timelines and deliverables are consistently met.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • 10+ years of experience in software development, architecture, and team leadership roles.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in management-level decision-making, strategy, and team development.
  • Experience in designing platforms for public health or large-scale data automation projects for the Public Sector.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Advanced proficiency in designing and implementing solutions using modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, JavaScript, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with performance optimization for high throughput software systems.
  • Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
  • Proven expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, with a firm grasp of their core services.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Versatility: The ability to quickly adapt to and work with any technology stack, cloud platform, or development framework as needed.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
