Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support the NGO implementing partners for the community mobilization strategy by ensuring their effectiveness and efficiency in planning, delivering, monitoring and reporting.
  • Manage and support the development and operation of the institutionalized community participation components of the community mobilization strategy.
  • Support Grants and Community Financing programs, community Education Activities and LHW Development or improved health education.
  • Assist in implementing the BCC Strategy to improve healthy behaviors.
  • Assist in devising and developing programs and materials for enhancing community-based activity in support of better health.
  • Support the project team and government counterparts (e.g. Health Department, District Social Welfare Department, etc.) in developing and promoting effective linkages with communities for improved health services.
  • Assist in building the capacity of communities/community-based organizations to work for their communities' development and for better health.
Job Specification

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Master's in Development Studies, Community Development, Anthropology, Development Communication, or Gender and Development.
  • At least seven years experience in community mobilization, community development, or social communication.
  • At least four years experience in management of community mobilization for health.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in English and Urdu.
  • Three years Community Development practice.
  • Highly developed gender and development interpersonal, managerial and team-building, presentation and facilitation skills.
