Manager - Ocean Freight Export LCL

Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise Ocean Freight Export LCL Customer Services, Documentation, and Operations Teams.
  2. Manage internal and external departmental issues with clients, carriers, and co-loaders, and resolve problems efficiently.
  3. Review Bills of Lading (BLs) before issuing original BLs.
  4. Sign original BLs for Ocean Freight Export LCL shipments.
  5. Follow up with carriers regarding payments and issues related to the release of Master Bills of Lading (MBLs).
  6. Coordinate with carriers and agents regarding vessel arrivals and container release statuses.
  7. Address and resolve customer and agent complaints.
  8. Oversee ISF and AMS filings for USA and Canada shipments.
  9. Handle FMC rate filings for USA shipments.
  10. Obtain FIATA, AVALON, and Bond certificates from relevant associations.
  11. Ensure the achievement of departmental KPIs.
Skills & Experience

At least 6 years of relevant experience.

SKILLS

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail.
  • Strong multitasking ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional follow-up skills to ensure tasks and projects are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
