Job Summary: The Credit Scoring Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of ZainCash's credit scoring models and decisioning systems for our digital lending products. This role requires a strong blend of analytical expertise and deep understanding of credit risk principles, and an ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business strategies. The successful candidate will ensure that our credit scoring methodologies are robust, fair, compliant, and effectively drive portfolio growth while managing risk.

  • Lead the design, development, validation, and implementation of credit scoring models
  • Utilize alternative data sources (e.g., transactional data, telco data, digital footprints) to enhance model
  • Continuously monitor model performance, back-testing, and recalibration to ensure accuracy, stability, and effectiveness in predicting credit risk
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Managers and other stakeholders to define, implement, and refine product
  • Develop and optimize automated credit decisioning rules
  • Work with Data Engineers and IT teams to ensure the availability, quality, and integrity of data necessary for credit scoring
  • Conduct in-depth statistical analysis, segmentation, and profiling of customer data to identify credit risk patterns and trends
  • Ensure all credit scoring models and processes comply with relevant banking regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Computer Science, or Data Science
  • 3+ years of experience in credit risk analytics, credit scoring model development, or data science roles within the financial services sector
