Collection Support Officer

Job Purpose

To provide support to the back-office function of collections by assisting the collection team with administrative tasks and ensuring the smooth operation of the collection system.

Key Result Areas

  • Ensure data base updates are done as per the process with proper checks and in a timely manner.
  • Document and maintain records related to collections and ensure they are organized, updated and accessible for future reference or audits.
  • Vendor management - Allocations to agencies; vendor billing process and other administrative tasks to be done appropriately.
  • Establish cordial working relationships with internal staff to understand roles and develop mutual understanding.
  • To be aware of the Customer Contact Guidelines related to collections.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Should have 2 – 3 years of experience in an operations-oriented job.
  • Should possess knowledge of basic principles of collection and stages of the collections processes
  • Knowledge of office software (MS Word, Excel and PPT) for report generation, data entry and documentation.
  • Managing databases and ensuring accuracy.
  • Capability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
