Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Finance and Tax Controller to manage key financial operations including vendor payments, treasury and petty cash management, budgeting, payroll support, tax compliance, and financial recordkeeping. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the financial health and transparency of the organization along with ensuring regulatory compliance across day-to-day financial activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and track vendor payments, ensuring timely disbursement and accurate reconciliation of vendor accounts.
  • Handle cash operations by maintaining a detailed logbook, issuing funds for office expenses, and ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
  • Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring correct salary disbursement, deductions, and compliance with internal policies.
  • Calculate, deduct, and file withholding income tax (WHT) on applicable payments in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage daily cash flow and coordinate with banks to monitor balances, execute transactions, and ensure liquidity.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Maintain accurate financial records by updating Google Sheets regularly and organizing both digital and physical vouchers with proper labeling and filing.
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation efforts in the finance function.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or CPA is a plus).
  • 2–4 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate compliances, financial regulations and tax laws.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in a tech or service-based industry.
  • Knowledge of tax filings and statutory compliance.
