Position: Executive IT – BSS Planning and Implementation

Location: Islamabad

Reporting to: Assistant Manager IT - BSS Planning

Job Type: Permanent

Job Purpose:

  • The incumbent will work on next generation Business Support System (OCS/CRM) to handle and mature core platform and Enterprise level applications & solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • To review current technology stack and plan the timely integration of new technical layers in-line with business directions.
  • To provide transparent and accurate project status along with different project phases (development, SIT, UAT, deployment, Go live, etc.) to management.
  • Responsible for end-to-end solution delivery, product design, and development of BSS applications.
  • Responsible to assess business value of new features and technologies.
  • To coordinate commercial, technical and vendor teams.
  • Carry out risk assessment, as well as coordinate and consult on human change management to ensure development can be adopted by business users.
  • To assist and support in execution of in-house minor development requirements for reporting purpose only.
  • To perform assigned duties as requested in a diligent and conscientious manner.
  • To collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors in translating and simplifying requirements to manage them efficiently.

Eligibility Criteria (Education, Knowledge, Experience and Skills):

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Agile / SCRUM Certification is preferred.

Work Experience:

  • 2-6 years of relevant experience in IT planning & products Implementation stream of BSS stack.

Skills – Job Specific:

  • Must have knowledge of BSS stack specifically OCS, CRM, Settlement, Mediation, Commission, Channel, Inventory systems.
  • Must be able to effectively oversee Change Delivery, Development, Implementation.
  • Can define technical evaluation criteria for product and technology and ensures that all architectural solutions result in a coherent systems design.
  • Must be able to develop best fit Software Architectures like Review Business, Information/DATA, and Application & Technology Architectures & Evaluate Technologies, inducted in the BSS stack ecosystem.
  • Must make recommendations for optimum architecture, performance management, environment stabilization and disaster recovery in complex environments.
  • Must be able to manage planning, continuous integration, data migration and development teams in functional and matrix structures.
  • Must be able to manage scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverable of BSS stack services stream Releases, which includes planning, tracking, change control, and risk management of project.
  • Must be able to ensure application architecture deliverables are consistent with architecture principles, standards, methodologies, and best practice.
  • Must be able to drive and achieve excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
