Description

Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP) is now diversifying into private sector consulting practice. Businesses today face numerous problems, many of which are detrimental to operating efficiently. With the ever-changing market landscape and the emergence of new technologies, businesses need to continue to evolve. Companies often need assistance to implement changes vital to their economic health. CERP, through its consulting practice, plans to help its clients attain efficiency through the proposed changes. In order to establish itself as a market leader in the private sector consulting business, emerging out of Pakistan, CERP is looking for exceptional resources to join the team.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Facilitate discussions and interviews with the clients to elaborate on the areas of proposed improvements.
  • Define and structure the problem concisely and conduct process mapping to deeply understand the overall and sub-processes.
  • Hypothesise the proposed solutions and gather relevant data
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to support the evidence-based solutions: Quantitative research methodologies include data mining, creating visually compelling stories using data, and performing due diligence and Qualitative research methodologies include performing market research and collecting business intelligence
  • Consolidate the findings from the research and analyse, and present solutions to the client
  • Develop and present a plan to implement the recommended changes
  • Support the client in institutionalising the change through training and development
  • Support the business development activities of the CERP analytics department, which also includes the development of proposals and the discovery process at the client sites
  • Assist the project leadership with the overall strategic direction of the programs / Projects
  • Be responsible for overall Project management and reporting. Ensure that all operational functions are effectively implemented and well-coordinated, and that project milestones are met.
  • Coordinate work with the research teams to ensure that quality data is collected.
  • As needed, recruit, train, and supervise the performance of project staff to facilitate project execution and ensure human resource needs across projects are met in a timely manner.
  • Help with data analytics and insights, project deliverables and knowledge products in coordination with the project team and partners

Role-specific requirement:

  • Master's degree in any discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Project/project management
  • Quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
  • Strong understanding of data visualisation tools and techniques (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Strong storytelling skills through PowerPoint presentations.

Generic requirements:

  • Ability to work under pressure and cope with challenging situations.
  • Good teamwork skills and flexibility.
  • Understanding of business environments and commercial awareness.
  • Problem-solving and structuring skills
  • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide variety of stakeholders in the government and private sectors, funders, as well as academics.
  • Fluent in English and Urdu. Knowledge of additional languages will be a plus.
