We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Database Administrator (DBA) with 5+ years of experience managing and optimizing Microsoft SQL Server and MongoDB environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database performance, security, scalability, and availability across critical systems, while supporting development and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server databases.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, indexing, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Design and implement robust backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Manage SQL Server Agent jobs, scheduled tasks, and automated scripts for routine operations.
  • Monitor database health, capacity, and performance using industry-standard tools.
  • Manage database security, user permissions, and compliance with data governance policies.
  • Administer MongoDB databases, including high availability configurations (replica sets, sharding).
  • Collaborate with software development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support database needs across environments.
  • Provide input on database architecture decisions and best practices for scalability and performance.
  • Support data integration and migration efforts across systems using SQL and MongoDB tools.
Required:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration, with a strong focus on SQL Server.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on experience with MongoDB (community or enterprise edition).
  • Expert-level knowledge of T-SQL, query tuning, and performance optimization techniques.
  • Strong understanding of MongoDB architecture, backup strategies, and monitoring tools (e.g., Ops Manager, MMS, or open-source alternatives).
  • Deep familiarity with database security, access controls, and compliance standards.
  • Experience managing databases in high-availability and mission-critical production environments.
  • Solid problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex database concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
