Job Description: Warehouse Operations Manager - Finished Goods

This role entails overseeing warehouse activities, ensuring adherence to safety and security protocols, and managing logistics to meet customer satisfaction objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Area of Focus: Plant's Finished Goods Warehouse, Inbound Storage, Outbound Logistics
  • Critical Deliverables:
    • Receive inbound goods, verify receipt protocols are followed, and record data in the ERP system.
    • Prepare authorization documents for contractors.
    • Manage warehouse operations, guaranteeing safety and security measures are implemented.
    • Maintain storage environments from extreme weather conditions.
    • Fulfill orders, execute delivery and fulfillment processes to meet customer satisfaction and perfect order targets for domestic and export customers.
    • Enhance dispatch quality by reducing customer complaints, particularly for food-grade dispatches.
    • Coordinate logistics, manage inbound and outbound logistics following FIFO/FEFO principles.
    • Ensure equipment maintenance, guarantee continuous operation of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) to avoid delays.
    • Liaise with MHE providers to maintain all equipment operational.
    • Separate special stocks, coordinate with production for timely reprocessing, repacking, or write-off.
    • Collaborate with production for effective storage space management.
    • Participate in audits, internal and external, conducted by customers or third-party organizations.
    • Handle emergencies, especially during changing weather conditions.
    • Maintain an organized environment, ensure the warehouse meets food and pharma-grade Quality Management System standards.
    • Match inventory with ERP records through regular counts.
    • Coordinate adjustments with order processing and inventory controllers.
    • Pest management, participate in Integrated Pest Management activities to safeguard finished goods.
  • Agility and Innovation:
    • Generate and update reports, create detailed records of warehouse activities.
    • Optimize logistics, improve overall efficiency and enhance customer satisfaction.
    • Maintain warehouse upkeep, design layout improvements, conduct equipment inspections, and manage repair and maintenance requests.
    • Identify and address hazards, safety risks, and opportunities for operational improvement.
    • Pursue operational excellence, maintain Quality Management System standards.
    • Execute special projects assigned by supervisors or management.
    • Deploy manpower strategically, allocate workforce effectively to meet organizational objectives.
    • Monitor KPIs, track key performance indicators to evaluate and improve team performance.
  • People Management:
    • Effective decision-making, make timely decisions to optimize staff productivity and job execution.
    • Collaborate with contractors, work closely to ensure efficient execution of various tasks.
    • Team problem-solving, actively involve teammates in discussions and seek input.
    • Performance management:
      • Communicate clear job expectations to staff.
      • Plan, monitor, and assess job results.
      • Provide feedback and appraisal.
    • Employee development:
      • Coach and counsel employees to enhance their performance.
      • Implement disciplinary measures when necessary.
    • Systems and policies:
      • Contribute to the development and coordination of effective systems, policies, and procedures.
      • Enforce productivity standards.
