Job Title: Contract Professional

The role of the Contract Professional involves reviewing and overseeing contracts with contractors to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

  • Contract analysis entails scrutinizing contract documents to verify adherence to established protocols.
  • Preparing reports and analyses related to contractual matters, along with providing recommendations for resolution.
  • Conducting regular site visits to monitor project progression and maintain accurate records.
  • Assisting the project team in reviewing and responding to contractor correspondence, offering guidance on contractual and commercial aspects.
  • Leading negotiations and claims meetings and summarizing outcomes.
  • Verifying the acceptability of contractor-provided documentation, including bank guarantees, warranties, and insurances.
  • Identifying potential contractual or commercial implications that may impact client interests and initiating appropriate responses.
  • Monitoring and processing variations, change orders, and claims, studying and advising on contractor claims in light of contractual obligations.
Requirements

Candidates should possess a strong background in contract management, with experience in administering complex contracts for high-rise building projects and infrastructure & utilities projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
  • Professional membership of PEC and/or International equivalent membership.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant work experience in contract administration, management, and handling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead issues and proactively obtain resolutions to problems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a high workload.
  • Proficiency in office software.
