
Peer Mentor Coordinator

The role of Peer Support Associate requires a professional with excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of peer mentors, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality support to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the peer mentor program, including recruitment, training, and performance tracking
- Coordinate with faculty advisors and administrative teams to align peer mentoring with student needs
- Develop and implement feedback mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of the peer mentor program
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and progress
- Assist in planning and executing engagement activities, workshops, and training sessions for peer mentors
Academic Support Lab Coordination:
- Operational & Logistical Management:
Ensure smooth daily operations of the Academic Support Lab (ASL), including scheduling, resource allocation, and facility management.
Develop and maintain a structured timetable for tutoring sessions, workshops, and office hours.
Implement policies for lab usage, student engagement, and tutor scheduling. - Data Management & Analysis:
Maintain student records related to academic support services, tracking attendance, participation, and progress.
Run analyses on student performance data to assess the effectiveness of tutoring programs and identify academic challenges.
Generate periodic reports for faculty and administrators to assist in curriculum adjustments and support mechanisms. - Faculty & Tutor Coordination:
Act as the primary liaison between faculty and tutors, ensuring clear communication of expectations.
Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of tutors in collaboration with faculty.
Organize meetings and feedback sessions with tutors to continuously improve student engagement. - Administrative & Communication Responsibilities:
Draft and distribute announcements, schedules, and guidelines related to the ASL and peer mentor program.
Maintain documentation of lab and peer support procedures, policies, and reports.
Communicate with students about available academic support services and encourage participation.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Google Sheets, BI tools). Experience with student management and engagement tracking systems (e.g., Zambeel).
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with faculty, students, and administrative teams.

Required Qualifications:
- Masters/ 4-year bachelor's degree from an HEC recognized university
- 1-2 years of relevant experience
