Network System Specialist Job Overview
In this role, you will work as part of a worldwide professional support team, resolving customer issues through various communication channels while adhering to set SLAs. Your main responsibilities will include network administration, problem resolution, documentation and collaboration, service monitoring and reporting, and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies.
Main Responsibilities
- Network Configuration and Troubleshooting: Set up, test, administer, and troubleshoot network issues using CISCO, Ubiquiti, Ribbon, and other major networking vendor equipment.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor and keep track of all services and monitoring tools such as Zabbix, Netbox, and others.
- Documentation and Diagrams: Create and update network documentation/diagrams for network implementations.
- VOIP Phones and Services: Setup, deploy, and troubleshoot VOIP phones and related services.
- CISCO Switches and Systems: Manage, administer, test, and troubleshoot CISCO Catalyst switches and ISR appliances systems.
- Virtualization Technologies: Work with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Citrix, and Hyper-V.
- Active Directories and Server Roles: Set up and administer Active Directories and server roles.
- Client Software and Servers: Keep client software and servers up to date.
