Lead AI Engineer Job Description

This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of our AI-driven products.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Lead AI Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in leading the development and optimization of our NLP-centric knowledge discovery tool.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. AI Team Leadership: Lead a dynamic team of AI professionals, guiding them through complex AI challenges, fostering innovation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and impactful AI solutions.
  2. User Needs Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to understand user needs and translate them into robust AI solutions.
  3. Best Practices Adoption: Drive the adoption of best practices in AI, machine learning, and software development within the team.
  4. Technological Advancements: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and NLP technologies and methodologies and evaluate their applicability to our product.
  5. Mentorship and Development: Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  6. Technical Roadmap: Lead the technical roadmap for AI, ensuring alignment with the overall product vision and business goals.
  7. Solution Scalability: Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of AI solutions, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  8. Client Engagement: Engage with industrial clients to gather feedback and insights, using them to enhance the product continuously.
Requirements:
  • A PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in AI/ML, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven expertise in NLP and knowledge discovery algorithms and frameworks.
  • Strong experience in developing and deploying AI solutions in a production environment.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Python, and familiar with AI/ML development tools and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience with langchain or other similar tools is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with industrial clients and understanding their unique needs and challenges is a plus.
