Key roles of Resident Medical Officers in Nephrology at The Aga Khan University Hospital include conducting daily ward rounds on primary patients and those requiring nephrology consults, as well as performing dialysis catheter insertions under supervision until certified by the program director.

Residents also participate in renal biopsy procedures and respond to nephrology consult requests, presenting cases to attending physicians. Additionally, they take patient histories, review medical records, conduct examinations, analyze investigations, and formulate detailed assessments.

The Department of Medicine comprises independent sections with a strong commitment to education and research. Our Residency Programmes provide comprehensive training in Internal Medicine, Neurology, and other specialties.

  • A MBBS degree from a recognized institution by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC).
