Area Business Development Manager

This position involves driving sales growth, meeting targets and goals set for each area, and expanding our customer base. To achieve this, the Area Business Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining and improving sales techniques and product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and increase sales through effective sales strategies and thorough understanding of products.
  2. Meet targets and goals set for each area by analyzing sales figures and adjusting sales plans accordingly.
  3. Establish and expand our customer base by identifying new business opportunities and building strong relationships with key customers.
  4. Provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  5. Develop and implement sales strategies, set targets for individual reps and the team, and monitor their performance to ensure targets are met.
  6. Recruit and train sales staff to equip them with necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  7. Assign territories to sales representatives and track their progress to guarantee targets are achieved.
  8. Monitor team performance, provide regular feedback, and offer coaching to motivate the team and help them reach targets.
  9. Gather customer feedback and market research to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  10. Present sales performance reports to senior managers and provide recommendations for future growth.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in brand retailing with a strong understanding of marketing principles.
  • Tertiary qualifications in sales and marketing or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and coach sales teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
