The Technical Consultant is a customer-facing position responsible for the pre-installation, configuration, and testing of solutions deployed by our Services Delivery team. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

">
  1. ">
  2. Provide technical expertise to pre-sales activities, including customer workshops.">
  3. Develop and deliver solution delivery fundamentals training.">
  4. Maintain and own project deliverables from the Project Delivery Lifecycle for successful customer project delivery.">
  5. Plan and execute onsite or offsite assembly, configuration, and testing of the solution for deployment in the customer's environment.">
  6. Effectively transition the solution to Support and assist in resolving production system issues.">
  7. Support project team staff to meet deadlines and priorities.">
  8. Contribute to product and customer-specific functionality documentation.">
  9. Stay updated on underlying technology and architecture.">
  10. Share knowledge and experience with other groups to improve consistency and quality.">
  11. Identify and resolve key issues and risks.">
  12. Understand and follow established methodologies, processes, policies, and values.">
  13. Support team members and participate in up-skilling and training initiatives.">
  14. Travel as reasonably requested.">

Required Skills:

  • ">
  • University degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, or equivalent experience.">
  • Relevant technical experience in telecommunications, intelligent networks, and/or next-generation networks.">
    • ">
    • Sound knowledge in telephony protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SS7, INAP, CAMEL, MAP, H323, Sigtran).">
    • Scripting languages (e.g., Perl, Python).">
    • UNIX, especially Solaris.">
    • Relational database concepts, especially Oracle.">
    • Object-oriented concepts.">
    • Distributed system technologies.">
    • Microsoft Office.">">

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle-specific and/or generic SQL database concepts.">
  • Experience in distributed database management and cluster environments.">
  • Good knowledge of commercial applications in mobile network operators charging and rating, messaging, recharge, promotion management, and networking.">
  • Experience in financial payments.">
  • Project management skills to achieve deliverables, monitor, and report progress.">
  • Experience with project scoping and risk management.">
