This position involves managing accounting functions with expertise and strategic insight. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
The Senior Associate - Accounts will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. They will also manage budgets and forecasts, guiding financial planning and cost management to support the company's goals.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Preparing and analyzing financial reports regularly.
- Handling client relationships for assigned client portfolios.
- Managing general ledgers, including journal entries, accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, and other requirements for assigned client portfolios.
- Coordinating month-end closing of accounts and preparing clients' financial reports in collaboration with the reporting line.
- Executing accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Participating in strategic financial planning and forecasting.
- Identifying areas for process improvement and recommending new strategies.
- Analyzing financial data and providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Providing training and guidance to associates.
- Assisting with special projects and financial analysis as needed.
To succeed in this role, you should possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Finance and/or Accountancy. Additionally, you should have at least 2–3 years of working experience in the related field. You should also be detail-oriented and highly organized. Experience in QuickBooks, XERO, or any cloud-based accounting system is highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is a must. You should be able to work with minimal supervision in an entrepreneurial environment and have excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
